Kirsti works in both clay and oil, and prefers the Raku
method of firing for her clay pottery and sculpture. Raku
originated in Japan and is widely used in the tea ceremony
because the results are one of a kind and cannot be duplicated.
" I love the effects of the fire and the immediacy
of Raku!" says Kirsti. The paintings represent her
search for universal truths. Spontaneous work reflects her
inner process and personal connection to beauty thru flowers,
landscapes and abstract work.
